Annie Little

Annie supports our talks on wigs, & textured hairstyling;  Diversity & Culture and is the

Creator and Facilitator of the

BLCKSTR programme

Working on productions featuring majority diverse casts means Annie understands who sits in the chair and what they feel. As hairstylist on projects like Aisha, The Power, Small Axe and hair designer on the Feature Film Twig, Annie is a part of stories immersed in culture.  

 

As hair and makeup coordinator on Queen Charlotte and as a current ScreenSkills Leader of Tomorrow, Annie is using her management and leadership skills to create and steer important projects like BLCKSTR which champion an inclusive industry, and help to solve real work concerns for individuals and productions. 

Calma Ritchie-Polack

Calma leads our talks on Textured Hairstyling & product knowledge and

right tools use.

Calma is an award-winning professional hairdresser with a diverse range of styling skills across all hair types. A hair salon owner for over 25 years and educator, Calma understands why correct processes, tools, and product knowledge are key to getting great results.  Calma brings her hairdressing knowledge to the set, most notably to dramas like MOOD, Vera, 3 Little Birds, Wedding Season. & Tyler Perry's Six Triple Eight. 

 

Calma's professional credits include a British Hairdresser Award for Afro Hairstyling, and nominations for the ACAP Windrush Award and Peoples Choice Award.

Nic Collins

Nic leads our talks on Makeup, Wigs & Crewing   

Nic Collins is a three-time Emmy Award winner, BAFTA and RTS nominated Hair and Makeup Designer. Known for her period work in HETV shows like Victoria, Downtown Abbey, Tin Star, Britannia and most recently winning an Emmy for Period and Character Hairstyling Queen Charlotte.

Nic knows the importance of hiring and supporting individuals with a wide range of diverse hair and makeup skills; and with over 20 years industry experience, she still believes that education is the key to confidence, and therefore continues to mentor existing and new industry talent.
