So glad to be going back to Glasgow to run our workshop 'Working with Textured Hair and Makeup for Medium to Deep Skin Tones. We have 2 sessions running back to back - 24th to 26th and 27th to 29th October.
It has been a bit of a stressful time for many artists in the industry. Many folks have not had consistent work - thankfully for these workshops are being fully funded by ScreenSkills so there is no pressure on the purse at the moment. Also when you come to a BLCKSTR workshop we provide all the products you need to work with.
These courses are always a good time - and everyone who takes part comes away feeling great at what they achieved. We use people of colour for our final presentations and by then our students are more than ready to get cracking. Our courses are a no shade zone and a safe space to set aside trained experience and receive some new information.
She is still involved but Nic Collins won't personally be joining us this time as she is working on a very big project. This time we have Famida Pathan an experienced makeup artist very used to working on skins of colour. Famida is really looking forward to sharing her knowledge about diverse makeup.
